Wood County Military Veterans, First Responders, and immediate family members join us at "The Historic Select Theater & Lake Country Playhouse" for a family-friendly Christmas double feature!

2024 Patriot Sporting Challenge
We are proud to announce our partnership working this year with Patriot Sporting Challenge.

The right to be free and safe from harm is not free, and it’s not without sacrifice from those who have given their all to keep us safe from domestic and/or foreign conflicts and the everyday perils that happen all too frequently on our streets! We, Patriot Sporting Challenge, salute these heroes, both our military veterans and our first responders. Every one of us has the opportunity to serve, even if it’s not in battle or responding to emergencies in our neighborhoods. On June 3rd, 2023, 350 people did stand up and serve with their financial support and willingness to give of their time and help with our 5th Year Anniversary of the Patriot Sporting Challenge event. Our 2023 event was a first in almost every regard and a wonderful thing to witness!
It was the first time since 2017 when the Challenge began that we ever had this kind of support from the community:
50 Two-person golfing teams
40 Two-person Fishing teams
350 caring and supporting individuals attending our afternoon/evening “Celebration of Patriotism.”
Record receipts from people who opened up their hearts and their wallets, our largest $ support ever.
For the Patriot Sporting Challenge, it was a distinct honor to be able to distribute your dollars of support to not just one major charitable beneficiary, but two: the Folds of Honor, whom for us is a Texas state wide organization, and Heroes Ranch, another great local charity lodged here in Wood County which provides a remarkable outdoor living experience for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Both of these organizations fit our charter and provide services of tremendous support to our military heroes, our first responders, and their families.

Fish Fry by the Lake for Veterans, First Responders And Family Members of Wood County
Join the They Got Your 6 Foundation for a fish Fry at USMC Veteran Wesley Marsh's property. We will be frying up fish and hush puppies down by the lake for our Wood County Veterans, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, and Emergency Medical Personnel. This is a family friendly event. All service members and First responders are encouraged to bring their significant other and children! There is no charge for food, and no membership fee to pay. We serve you, veterans, first responders and family members. We are a non-profit, so donations are always appreciated. Come as you are, and leave happy and with a full belly! Remember to bring your bathing suits and some towels if you would like to get in the hot tub, or swim in the lake.
Please remember to bring your own chairs, bathing suits and towels if you want to swim or get in the hot tub, floats or life jackets for the little ones. We will have tea, if you would like something else, please bring your own drinks.

4th Annual Wood County First Responders' Softball Tournament
We are pleased to announce that the Wood County Criminal District Attorney’s Office has designated the They Got Your 6 Foundation as the beneficiary of proceeds from the 4th Annual Wood County First Responders' Softball Tournament.
Join the Wood County Criminal District Attorney’s office at 8:00 AM on October 21, 2023, at the Quitman High School Softball Field and the Quitman Youth Foundation Fields to participate with our first responders playing some exciting softball while supporting the They Got Your 6 Foundation.
All proceeds collected are invested in our mission of serving First Responders, Veterans, and their families here in the Wood County community.
